Devi was musing over the day's events.The day broke beautifully.Having finished regular pooja

she sat wondering at her luck.She even wondered sometimes if her tear ducts are functional.

She had gone to visit her friend.Her friendship was so itimate she was almost a member of her

family. She took liberties in her household affairs.She thought of arranging flowers in a different

wayand expected her friend to like it.But she was in for a surprise. Jaya came down,expected

smile was missingand said plainly, " You could have asked me". Devi was distubed.She was not

prepared.It was like a needle prick kept increasing and eyes welled up. Back at home ,her man

sensed something was wrong and made a statement lesser people, ignorant ones react to the

happenings .we are not this body.Nothing can touch real us.What oters say is just words.

The butter had to be mixed with sugar,cardamom,and saffron.The easiest.The best.The thought gave joy to valli.Valli would have achieved her mission if only she was direct and cryptic.But destiny had a design different.

Evening it was.The setting Sun was trying to spill colours of leave taking.I was busy tidying up the house.Suddenly I heard the dogs barking loud.My heart beat fast as u were plying outside.
I rushed out fearing u in danger.What I saw was u were holding the hand of alittle girl who was frightened by the dogs.U were consoling her and holding her by the waist were escorting her to her home.

May be you were barely ten.I was taking you to school on my luna.

you heard a stray dog yell.It sounded like yell of hunger. Your heart went out to it.
